OUR BELIEF'S AS CHRISTIANS, OUR FAITH AND OUR LOVE OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST
THE BIBLE'S STATEMENT ON MARRIAGE, DIVORCE, AND FAMILIES(PARENTING)
WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE- If We Turn To Hin and Believe!
12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
14Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 16And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 17If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
21The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" 22On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28And in the church God has appointed firer gifts.
st
of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of
miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help
others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in
different kinds of tongues. 29Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues[d]? Do all interpret? 31But eagerly desire[e] the greater gifts.
Gen. 2:18, 21-24
Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man.' For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (NIV)
Our Beliefs
Our Tenants of Faith
This assembly accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice. And for the purpose of maintaining unity, we proclaim these fundamental truths as our tenets of faith and all outreach members of this ministry.
We believe in the one true God, who is creator of all things. Col. 1:16 The Godhead consists of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each being separate and distinct one from the other, yet one God.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ who is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare:
His virgin birth. Matthew 1:23, Luke. 1:31, 35
His sinless life. Hebrews 7:26, I Peter. 2:22
His miracles. Acts 2:22, 10:38
His substitutionary work on the cross. Through His shed blood we have
forgiveness of sins. I Corinthians 15:3, II Corinthians 5:21, Matthew
26:28, Romans 5:8, I Peter 1:18-23
His bodily resurrection from the dead. Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:39,
1 Corinthians 15:4
His exaltation to the right hand of God.Acts 1:9, 11, 2:33, Phillipians
2:9-11, Hebrews 1:3
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. The Scriptures are superior to conscience and reason but not necessarily contrary. II Tim. 3:15-17, I Pet. 1:23-25, Heb. 4:12, II Pet. 1:21We believe in the resurrection of the dead. Those that have fallen asleep in Christ will be resurrected with a glorified body and live in eternal happiness. Those that have died in their sin will be resurrected to face judgement and will be eternally separated from God in the lake of fire. I Cor. 15:42-44, Rev. 20:4-15, Matt. 10:28, John 5:28, 29, Acts 24:15, Dan. 12:3, Rev. 14:10, 11
We believe in the salvation of man through the atoning shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Salvation occurs when one believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, repents of sin and receives Christ as the One and only Savior. Confession of His Lordship then confirms salvation. We are saved by grace through faith. Acts 2:21, Rom. 10:9, 10, I John 1:9. The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. Col. 1:4, 20, Eph. 4:24, Tit. 2:11, 12, John 3:3,16, Eph. 2:8, 9.
We believe in the infilling power of the Holy Spirit, or the Baptism in the Holy Ghost (Spirit) which is accompanied by the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. This Spirit baptized life will now show evidences of the Spirit’s control through an outward manifestation of power in public testimony and service. All believers are entitled to and should earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire. This gift was bestowed on the day of Pentecost and is still in strong operation in the lives of any believer who receives this gift by faith. It is distinct and subsequent to the new birth experience. Luke 24:29, Acts 1:4,8, Acts 2:4, Acts 8:12-17, Acts 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9, I Cor. 12:1-31
We believe in divine healing and that it was provided through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Healing is received by faith and is provided through the grace of Almighty God. Matt. 8:16, 17, Mark 11;23, 24, Matt. 10:7, 8, Matt. 16:18
We believe in the sacred ordinances of the Church.
a. Baptism in water by immersion is commanded in the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ are to be baptized. By this they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Matt. 28:19, Mk. 16:16, Acts 10:47, 48, Rom. 6:4
b. Holy Communion is the Lord’s Supper consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine (wine). These are symbols expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus (II Pet. 1:4); a memorial of his suffering and death (I Cor. 11:26); and a prophecy of His second coming (I Cor. 11:26); and is enjoined on all believers until he returns.
We believe in the “Blessed Hope” of every believer, the imminent, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, who will return in glory to receive His redeemed unto Himself. The Scriptures record that the dead in Christ shall rise and we which are alive shall join the resurrected dead to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. I Corinthians 15:51,52, I Thessalonians 4:16,17, II Thessalonians 2:1, Revelation 19:11-16, John 14:3, Acts 1:11, Zechariah 14:4We believe in a divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry which has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose. 1.The evangelization of the world. 2. For the edifying of the Body of Christ. Mk.16:15-20, Eph. 4:11-13
"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Ephesians 5:25-27
